WeiMing's mocktail presentation

I was surprised by Ming and his classmate. They decorate the “ballroom” by themselves. Each of the students plays different role. Ming was the waiter for the day.
Ping and me kept making fun of him. Anyway, we are glad that he takes his studies seriously. His teacher said that he believes Ming is good nature except that he is easily influence by others. We too agree with his teacher.

Monday blues

Im busy on Monday morning. Real busy as I need to calculation the accrual. Kinda difficulty as my calculation isnt that good.

TBP open a new restaurant, Lao BeiJing.
Went there with Ah ma to try out.

In terms of XiaoLongBao, services, speed and price, DTF is better but for LBJ, their location and their GuoTie is not.

My room desk is now filled with lotsa of seaweed! I love seaweed and I can eat 2 packets per day. =)

Catherine asked me to go HerWorld for hair ad but once again I declined her offer as they wants model who is willingly to cut short their hair. Im not ready to cut my hair short.

Iwashita San taught and told me to fill in those oil prices for him daily in his PC. Im slowly learning and absorbing things abt commodities and stks. Not as boring compared to the past few days but Im still kinda free! =)
Nambu San has asked Christy to check both Jap language sch and Investment sch for me to study in.
Kinda cool rgt! I mean I had joined them for less than 1 week and here they are looking for sch for me.

Ah Yi was on MC, Christy met her ex-colleague for lunch therefore I ate my lunch alone
I seem to be a loner! Felt so upset, so emo!
But I know I have to learn to. To learn eating alone.
I miss the times eating with Shinmei staffs.
I went to The Arcade alone and I ate tom yam fish soup.
It cost me $5! I was taken aback by the price. In the past when Im working at Shinmei, the max price for fish soup was only $4.

Basically, you can see how free I am while at work. To be able to change my blogskin.

Met up with Ms Angela after work at NewYork NewYork.

The food was not bad, I would say.
She gotten a camera that is same as mine except that hers was in red colour, mine is in black.
She gave me a card and a lil keychain =) A card with alot of meanings in it. Isnt she great?!
And indeed, I was touch by her actions.

Drove her home too. My 1st time ferrying her after getting my license for 38 days. Drink-driving :P Luckily, nth amiss happen.



Next time, its gonna be her turn driving me home. I haven have the chance to be ferry by her. Abit disappointing that I wasnt her 1st friend who is being ferried by her but nvm la. I wont blame her. Wahahaha

We used to know each other inside out, chat on fone frequently, meet up at least once a week or even daily, used to be like a lesbian partner but now I don deny the fact that we two has drifted apart. :(

Simple saying: Just dial 8 digits and chat with the person for 5mins; asking how are you doing, is oso good enough BUT can we really do that? Lolz.
I shall try doing so but hopefully she wont tot that I went mad. Haa..

I wish to be like the past with her but with all these new yet hectic work and schooling schedule; who will have time for friends. I mean to meet up that often as compared to non-working life.
But Im glad that, I still feel ease when being with her earlier on and there is no wall builded in between us. But for her case, I have no idea la. Hope she too feel ease being with me and still consider me as her best buddy. Haa!

Im HAPPY. I enjoyed catching up with her.

I have nv been there before but heard that the food served is tasty.

Working in Sumisho is much relax than in Shinmei.
Nth for me to do at all! Just some filing and so on.

Maybe this is just the beginning hence Im SO FREE but I want to learn more.
They say will let me attend Bloomberg training soon.
Each of them have a PC specially for Bloomberg.
Happy as they are willing to let me go for this course.

Maybe after my Dip and I have settle down in here, I will go for some courses/test on trading at IBF. It is also related to insurance. In terms of exams. 1 stone kills 2 birds.
Im happy as now Im making changes to my life and opening pathway for my future. What about u? Gd luck fren and all the best in things that you wanna do =)

I didnt lunch with Ah Yi as Christy told me she wanna lunch with me.
Couldnt reject her as 1st day wad so I have to put Ah Yi plane. Guess she will understand and not blame me.

It was good working in Sumisho.
The colleagues there was nice; I guess I prefer working with small group of ppl rather than with lots of ppl.
Colleagues told me that I can slowly learn my things. No hurry and keep telling me to take it easy.

Matoba San (Security trader) told me, if I want to buy books or take up courses regarding stocks, equity and so on, I can do so and claim to the co.
Bcos Nambu san(My boss but he is out station till Fri) has actually told him to get the books for me.
He said that I might get bored after a period of time as this is mostly on admin side. If I learn to trade, I can help out in future. Meaning new jobscope. But I told him slowly slowly as I wanna learn how stock market work 1st. Like that I will be more stable.
Heard from Christy that our co. is oso under SDF so it kinda good if i wanna further my studies.

Sumitomo staffs are entitled free admission Planet fitness but not Sumisho staffs. Dammit. Haa.. Enjoyed myself today. Learn new things about how stocks market work and so on.

There will be another staff joining us in early june. She will be helping with the accs side.
And there will be co. dinner on 8 June =)

Last but not least, Japan holidays are more compared to sg holidays! =)

Oh ya, I went to pick Mummy off work and send her home ytd.
The 1st time I ferry her.
It has been a long time since I last saw her. I couldnt recognise her as she cut her hair short.

After 2 week of long rest, Im finally starting work tomorrow. Anxious yet happy. Hopefully things will goes well.

Mother's day'07

Suppose to return car today but I told Gopi that I will rent an additional day from him.
I drove to East Coast =)
Had Korean food with my family as a Mother's day treat for Ah Ma.

Korean food is not to my liking as most of it have to be eaten with veg.
I prefer seafood!

Interview at Sumisho went well. I accepted their offer.
Hence I guess I wont be gg to Itochu on Monday. I may seem to be unprofessional but everyone wants the best isnt it?

The benefits are definitely much better.
The demerit... I have to work on sg public holidays because this co is working on Japan stock exchange.
Which means I have to follow Japan calendar.
My job position: Trader assistant and office administrator.
Cool har?!

They told me probably my most busy period will be from 2 - 5 pm. In the morning, if I want to do my own things like study, learn more about Equity, Commodities and so on, I am allowed. Haa!
I guess I will be able to learn more things in here. Which is good for my own future la if I want to be a trader. Haa!

Oh yes!
An embarrassing part. Yesterday while at work (around 3plus), my shoes spoilt. Arhh! <(.*_*.)> ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Having a car is great. Can go wherever I want. Save down the time waiting for cab but pumping petrol can kills. Ha.

In the noon, together with Michelle, Melvin and Kev, we went to Tampanies to visit Angela.
Michelle's friend. She just came back from Iceland.
But the main purpose is to visit Emma. Hehe



Isnt she a pretty toddler? She is CUTE!
Initally, she is shy but after awhile, she allows us to carry and play with her.
And when we were leaving from Angela hse, Emma cried so hard as she doesnt want to part with us.
I love to drive BUT I still prefer to be ferry around by ppl. Haa...

1st day at Itochu

My 1st day at Itochu.

Different feelings... Different experience from working in Paya Lebar.
The pace working in Shenton way is fast.

Colleagues here were great too!
I am under Swee Teng. A nice msia lady.
I am in the EG group.

Not forgetting Anna and Cynthia. They are my smoking kaki.
Understand from them that if we work OT till 7pm, we could claim dinner $5. And after 830, we could claim cab fee home. Fantastic isnt it?
They have bday celebration too and the co. will give you red packet de!

I learnt that working in a big corporation, when applying for leave and so on, we got to log in to the co. personal website to apply. Unlike Shinmei, we pass the leave form to our boss.

The bad things are, I cannot msn in this co. as they ban it. I don understand wad is L/C about and got to be very careful when preparing shipping instruction.
A day in Itochu, I realise how well protected I am in Shinmei.
In Shinmei, we just have to process order, prepare invoice and P/L. the rest, we just leave it to forwarder.
We don have to check AWB, we don have to know doc presentation and so on.
I am like a novice. A person with no working experience.

Had my lunch with Ah Yi. She is working in NTUC building which is just opp RP.
It was so crowded!
She taught me... To reserve a seat during lunch is to put a pack of tissue paper on top of the seat. Ha.

After work, I am gg for my 2nd interview (Sumisho Capital. A subsidiary co. of Sumitomo Mitsui Bank) which is located at Equity Plaza (next to RP) =)
No harm trying as I admit I am still looking for a better career prospect.

7 pm, I am gg to collect car from Gopi at Chinatown.
Yea! I rent car. $40 per day for Hyundai Getz. =)

1/2 way thru the food, I realise my shoes spoilt. So paisei!
1st time gg out with WeiJiang, this type of thing happened.

Hence after the dinner, we were like 2 "pai ka" walking down Labrador Park.
He was also "pai ka" as he sprained his leg while playing soccer on Sun.

Today I went to Omar (Gambling ship) with Kev at 7am!! Even though, I didnt slp at all.
That is how strong and fit I am. Haa.

That is the amount of time I spent at the chalet with Alan and gangs. Lolz!

Last day at Shinmei (4th May)

Last day at Shinmei.
I had my farewell lunch at “lido” (The auto car mart)



Fear, sadness and not wanting to part with them was wad I felt the whole day.
Upon reaching 545, it was time for me to leave.
I left the office yet returned back for 3 times to take my stuffs.
Yoshida san sent me to the lift.

Though it is quite politic in here but all the colleagues are nice.
I will miss them.
I hope that they will still keep in contact with me.
I thank them. For they are the one who has been guiding me all along.

Met up with Valerie dearie at night.
Supposing to catch “200 pounds beauty” with her but by the time she came to fetch me, it was late hence we went for our dinner at Cini and we went Clark Quay for some drinks.
Happened to saw Esther at there too =)

Today is my last day at Shinmei.
To be frank, I got those "not wanting to leave" feelings as the colleagues here are GREAT but then human beings constantly have to upgrade or change themselves to meet up with the world requirements.
Im happy that I came to work in this company. Im happy that I got to know them.
My clients are nice too. Upon receiving my farewell email to them, they called me to ask how am I doing, what happen, what is my personal email/ hp no and so on.
I just hope that my new co., the colleagues there will be as nice as Shinmei...

Yesterday was picking me up on the bus stop yet forgetting to unlock the car door. The bus came hence Alan got to move his car further in front.
Today due to the heavy downpour, he picks me up at my office building but without noticing of the location that he park. He park at a plc where it is slightly flooded with water hence causing my feet to be wet! I wonder what is next. lolz

Ah ma bday'07

Ah Ma bday.
Most of my immediate family member came except for my 2 elder cousins.
Nth spectacular happen. Just that for the whole day, I felt very sleepy. Lol

Managed to borrow Ah boon's car and intended to drive to Plaza but they say wanna cut cake soon so turn out I didn't get to drive.
I did check the rental rate for car from Fri night - Monday noon. It will cost roughly $230 excluding petrol.
Thinking whether should I waste this kind of unnecessary money or not. Any kind-hearted soul wanna lend me his/her car? Lol!
